DT1 - Versioning Begun


In response to very useful feedback, extensive changes have been made to DIGITtally to improve clarity and user experience


Detailed changes:

  • Versioning Added to allow easy reference to datasets in use at any given time.
  • "Known Activity" scores based on FlyBase interrogation have been renamed to "Published Association". The functionality remains the same.
  • GeneList Builder updates to accept FlyBaseIDs, Annotation Symbols, and Gene Names.
  • Extra clarifying text has been added throughout the site to (hopefully) make everything clearer.
  • "Select All" buttons have been added to Data Sources, Scoring Metrics, and Fly Type choice options throughout the wizard.
  • Extra slides have been added to the tutorial to guide users on how to use the setup Wizard.
  • More data has been added to the "Example Data" on the homepage, showing how varying parameters can change your output.

    10th February 2025 - DIGITtally Article Submission


    DIGITtally has been submitted for publication, and a preprint made available! We've also made some changes to improve user experience


    Detailed changes:

  • Example data for all of DIGITtally's functions is now available on the Home page.
  • User uploads > Data Description has been moved to Documentation.
  • Added dynamic transition to mobile site under a certain window width.
  • Bug fixing for user upload handling
  • Visual updates throughout

    25th July 2024 - User Data Package


    We're happy to announce that DIGITtally can craft bespoke analyses incorporating user-uploaded bulk RNAseq data. With only an expression matrix and some information about what samples are what, your data can now be used as part of the DIGITtally pipeline, either alone or in conjunction with our built-in data sources. This vastly increases the applicability of DIGITtally to new research questions. Please see full guidelines in the new About > User Uploads page.

  • User Data uploads have been enabled as part of the standard DIGITtally wizard.
  • Update Page added. New updates will be highlighted on the home page.
  • Individual Tissue Tallies have been fully populated.
  • Stability improved (FlyBase searching was causing crashes - this should be fixed!)
